Meanwhile, her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his wife winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. She won for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other, Ranbir won an award for Brahmastra. But he said he doesn’t believe he fully deserves it as his performance in Brahmastra was not that great. While praising Alia, Ranbir said that he is very excited that Alia won the award because she was truly deserving in her performance in Gangubai. He thinks that was one of her finest performances ever.

On the professional front, Alia will act in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh. It stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi too. Other than that, she has Jee Le Zaraa.
