Pushpa (Hindi) has joined the 100-crore club on its sixth weekend.
As a result, it has become the first film in the history of the 100 Crore Club to open at 3.33 crores and then gross a hundred crores.
A dubbed south film previously held the record for a 100 Crore Club earner with the lowest ever opening day. Then, too, history was made, as Baahubali: The Beginning opened to 5.15 crores and went on to gross a hundred crores throughout its duration.
Pushpa (Hindi) Version
The Telugu version created a frenzy at the box office, but the Hindi version surprised everyone. The film’s makers did not devote much attention to the Hindi market. It’s almost as if it’s working on its own!
Pushpa (Hindi) journey was all the more remarkable because it was accomplished during a pandemic when theatres were closed, regulations were in place, and fear was widespread. Before that, it may be able to make up for a lost time in Delhi and Haryana, where theatres have recently reopened. Pushpa (Hindi) is getting the most exposure and is helping to drive sales.
Has Pushpa (Hindi) eclipsed Baahubali: The Beginning’s success?
With total revenues of 511.30 crores in Hindi, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion tops the list. Second place goes to 2.0, which grossed a massive 188 crores in Hindi. It benefited greatly from Akshay Kumar’s presence. Pushpa is ranked third, followed by Baahubali: The Beginning. With 120 crores. With 44.09 crores, KGF Chapter 1 is ranked fifth.
