Arijit Singh first fails to recognise Mahira Khan, apologises to her
Mahira was recently sighted at the Dubai concert by Arijit Singh. Notably, the latter performed the popular song Zaalima from the Raees movie, which featured SRK and a Pakistani actress. The singer was seen introducing the Pakistani actress to the audience in a video from the recent event that has gone viral on the internet. The moment when Arijit admitted that he initially didn’t recognise Mahira was caught on camera and published by Instagram user Shahzadi Sipra. Arijit is heard saying at the start of the video:
“You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have a camera there? I have been trying to recognise this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen, Mahira Khan sitting right in front of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. After their 2015 divorce, the estranged couple has been co-parenting their only child, Azlan. Mahira cleared the air regarding her husband Salim’s occupation during an engaging conversation with Aamna Haider Isani on her YouTube channel a while back. Mahira refuted the claims that her spouse is a 66-year-old business magnate, saying: “He is not a 66-year-old tycoon! Bechara, my Bechara. Mahira Khan rubbished off the rumours of her pregnancy
A few months into her marriage, reports in the press said that Mahira and her husband, Salim, were expecting their first child together. But Mahira Khan dispelled these allegations when she took the stage on her digital platform, Mashion, in honour of International Women’s Day. Mahira stated:
“Oh, that I am pregnant. It’s not weird, it’s just a rumour. I don’t know where they came up with it, I think it’s because I’ve put on weight, but then they also said that I’ve left the Netflix series and a major film and whatnot. So, yeah but it’s not true.”
