Business-based reality show Shark Tank India gained popularity last year. Besides becoming a rage among masses due to its engaging content, it also introduced us to some of the brilliant entrepreneurs of India as its judges aka sharks. Out of all of them, one who garnered huge amount of fame and a genuine fan base is the former Co-founder and Managing Director of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover.

Grover grabbed eyeballs due to his witty nature and catchy one-liners. He might not have returned to the current season of Shark Tank India, but that does not make him far from limelight. He is hitting headlines almost everyday, all thanks to his interesting interviews and his recently released memoir Doglapan: The Hard Truth About Life And Start-Ups.

Apart from giving incredible advice about entrepreneurship and business, Ashneer has penned some amusing incidents from his personal life in the book. Now, one such incident has come to the forefront and it has something to do with B-town actress Kiara Advani

Ashneer’s book has a chapter titled, ‘How Kiara Advani Almost Got Me Divorced’. In this, the investor recalled the time when his wife Madhuri Jain Grover was talking to their common businessman-friend about his marriage plans. He stated that their friend told her that he had contacted a high-profile matchmaker just like the famous Sima Taparia aka Sima Aunty and that matchmaker has shown him some high-profile names too.

When Madhuri and Ashneer asked him to reveal some of the choices he has got, their friend disclosed that there is Kiara Advani’s name too as an eligible match. A surprised Ashneer then turned to his mother and told her that if he had been settling down today, then Kiara’s marriage proposal would have come for him.

Ashneer quoted, “Aapko pata nahi hai market me aaj kal kya chal raha hai. Aaj ke din shaadi ho rahi hoti na toh Kiara Advani ka rishta aata aapke bete ke liye.”

While it was a playful remark from Ashneer, Madhuri did not take it lightly. Revealing how she reprimanded him, Ashneer asserted that she stopped talking to him and slammed him for 30 minutes while on their way to the airport. Ashneer also added that his wife was so annoyed at his comment that she reminded him how he was nothing when she married him. Madhuri also asked her husband whether he wanted to marry Kiara Advani.

For the unversed, Ashneer Grover tied the knot with Madhuri Jain in 2006. The couple has two kids- Avy and Mannat.
