‘Ask SRK Why He didn’t Retain Me’: Shubman Gill Makes Cheesy Request To Ed Sheeran; Watch

On his YouTube channel, Ed Sheeran posted a video from his trip to India. He was spotted having a great time in Mumbai. Cricketer Shubman Gill and comedian Tanmay Bhat were with him.

Ed mentioned in their talk how thrilled he was to see Shah Rukh Khan that same day. Shubman revealed that he was a player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Then he encouraged Ed to find out why he was let off the team.

In the YouTube video, Ed, Tanmay, and Shubman were spotted at a restaurant enjoying Indian cuisine.

He said, “I am going to see Shah Rukh Khan tonight for dinner.” At this, Shubman said, “I used to play for his team.” When Ed expressed surprise that Shah Rukh owns a team, Tanmay tells him that Shubman used to play for his Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team.

Shubman then added, “Ask him why they did not retain me.” At this point, all three of them start laughing. Ed continues by saying that he has seen many of Shah Rukh’s films and that he has only met him once. “When I am travelling a lot, there’s always a Bollywood section on flights. So yeah, I’ve seen quite a few.”

Ed had earlier posted a video with Shah Rukh on his Instagram. In the video, Ed and Shah Rukh can be seen recreating the latter’s signature pose. “This is the shape of us. Ed was in India to perform the final leg of his +-=/x Tour (mathematics). This occurred at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on March 16. At his concert, he was joined by singer Diljit Dosanjh. They performed his hit song, Lover, together.
