Backlash After ‘Who’s The Boss’ Star Alyssa Milano Starts GoFundMe For Son’s Baseball Trip

Many people on social media don’t like that Alyssa Milano started a GoFundMe campaign for her son’s baseball team trip. Milano is best known for her parts in Charmed and Who’s the Boss.

As criticism surrounds the campaign, Alyssa Milano tries to fix the situation by explaining why the fundraiser on X was necessary.

The 51-year-old star, whose net worth is thought to be in the millions of dollars, set up the online fundraiser under her married name, Alyssa Bugliari, and shared it with the 3.4M people who follow her on X (formerly Twitter).

Milano is married to David Bugliari, a Hollywood agent who used to co-head CAA’s movie department.

X is causing widespread concern

A lot of her fans were angry about her post, so they reacted with sarcastic memes. One of them showed comedian Chris Rock saying, “I identify as poor.”

“#AlyssaMilano would also like to know if people could donate to pay for her toilet paper and maybe some snacks,” said another.

One person on the Internet wrote, “I’m sure she’s getting residuals right now.”

“Why doesn’t Alyssa Milano pay for the whole team’s trip?” “Why does she need money from people who can barely afford food?” asked someone else.

“Are rich people really that disconnected from the real world?” People who are living from paycheck to paycheck are helping her out with her son. “What the **** happened to us?” wrote someone else.

Milano is now trying to “break control”

Milano tried to explain her actions on X by saying she had already “paid for uniforms for the whole team and coaches,” thrown birthday parties, and helped “any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.”

It was 2009 when Milano and Bugliari got married. They have two kids, Milo, 12, and Elizabella, 9.

She wrote on Thursday, “My son’s baseball team is raising money for their trip to Cooperstown,” to tell people about the GoFundMe. We would appreciate any amount you could give us.

The goal of the fundraiser was to raise $10,000, and by Friday morning, the day after Milano’s infamous tweet, more than $7,000 had been raised.

On the GoFundMe page, there were donors, but Milano’s name wasn’t among them. Some of them were unidentified. Someone who gave $5 and went by the name ‘Doesn’tAlyssaHaveEnoughMoney’ did so.

Milano lives with her family in a fancy five-bedroom home in Bell Canyon, a gated neighbourhood 20 miles north of Los Angeles. It is said that the land is worth $2.5 million.

Milano is an activist and a strong backer of the “Me Too” movement. Because of her political views, she is often made fun of and criticised.
