A medical test was conducted on Munawar, which turned out to be positive, and action was taken against him. Mumbai police informed that Munawar Faruqui was released after questioning.

Munawar Faruqui shared pictures from the airport on his Instagram account. The Social Service Branch of the Mumbai Police raided the Sablan Hookah Bar upon receiving a tip-off.

A police officer said, “Our team received information that tobacco was being used under the guise of a hookah. Tobacco-infused hookahs were being used alongside herbal hookahs. If it is proven that they used tobacco hookahs, they will be charged under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003.”

The officer added that during the raid, whatever was seized from the hookah bar is being examined. Six other individuals who were taken into custody along with Munawar were interrogated and then released.

During the raid, Munawar was present at the hookah bar. Later, he underwent a medical test, which came out positive, and a case was registered against him. However, senior police officers said that he was allowed to leave.

However, Munawar has not issued any statement in this regard. However, he shared a picture from the airport on his Instagram story, stating that he is tired and traveling.

A few days ago, Munawar was in the headlines when he was seen with Elvish Yadav. Elvish had also hugged him. This had sparked controversy on social media. On the professional front, Munawar Faruqui won ‘Bigg Boss 17’ and has since appeared in the music video ‘Halki Halki Si’.
