What made this year’s format unique and palpable is that the function was only online; giving all the performers a chance to step out from the four walls of one big stage. The online format let their creativity juices pour as audiences across the globe witnessed jaw-dropping and sexy stage set-ups, from a rooftop backdrop to a water-dipped stage.

The group of five girls, New Jeans, enthralled the audience with their performances and bagged Top Global K-Pop Artist, defeating BTS’ Jimin, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together, and Twice.
BTS star Jungkook took the trophy Top Global K-Pop Singer for his recently-released solo song, Seven.
Morgan Wallen took home an impressive feat of 11 awards, including Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, and Top Country Artist.
Taylor swift matched the numbers with Drake as they both bagged 10 trophies each. Notably, Swift was nominated in 20 categories. She gave a big thanks to her fans in a pre-recorded 49 seconds long video post victory.
‘None of this happens without you…I’m so honored that this year you made the Eras Tour so magical.’ She ended on a heart-warming smile. ‘I feel like the luckiest person in the world.’
BBMAs was a star-studded event and ended on a note of glitz, glamour and glory.
