Ten concert dates ‘in limbo’
The future of 10 concerts in Munich is uncertain as several outlets report unsold tickets. The “Someone Like You” singer boasts of many Grammys to her credit. And yet, her German events to be held in August 2024 are in limbo.
These tour dates are supposed to be a comeback for the talented artist and fans are afraid that anything can happen at the last minute. A couple of weeks back, Adele postponed her Las Vegas shows citing illness as a reason.
Two weeks ago, Adele postponed ten gigs over five weekends in Las Vegas due to illness. She only had a short message to announce, which said she was forced to “take a beat and pause my Vegas residency.” Fans are still waiting for the dates of the re-scheduled events.
Fans miffed and fume over social media
Calling the superstar “extremely lazy and reckless,” fans started pouring in their anguish on social media. Some complained about the lack of information about new dates. “Any updates soon? We need to plan and it’s impossible to do if we don’t have new dates. Leaving us in limbo is unfair.”
According to the ticket-booking platform Ticketmaster, thousands of seats were still available for the Munich shows. Adele planned to do the Munich gigs in August, and those who booked already need confirmation. “Don’t postpone Munich please. I spent a lot on accommodation and flight tickets,” they wrote to the performer online.
But others were understanding; they said, “This is not your fault and you deserve rest.” Fans urged her to focus on getting better. Adele is reportedly recuperating in California, under strict medical supervision. She also suffered from fungal infection earlier.
Adele is resting on doctor’s orders
The 35-year-old singer has consulted medics after she got sick and has a strong team with her. She is dating Rich Paul, who is a US sports agent. Fans are concerned that her voice got affected and won’t be stable enough to perform because of her habitual drinking.
Earlier, she confessed to drinking 4 bottles of wine at once, before lunch, during the pandemic lockdown. Doctors had warned the 16-Grammy-winner that boozing and a busy schedule can damage her voice. In January, she admitted to stopping her self-imposed booze ban.
While postponing her March shows, she said, “I was sick at the end of the last leg… hadn’t gotten back to full health and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.” So, the last 5 weekends of the tour have been postponed.
“On doctor’s orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly,” she added. Adele has not said anything else since that moment, and people are following closely for updates. She has many chart-topping music albums and hit songs like “Hello,” “Easy on Me,” and “Rolling in the Deep.”
