Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah surprised one and all with her engagement announcement with boyfriend Shane Gregoire on 20 May. She shared the good news with her fans and followers on social media by posting photos with Shane. Meanwhile, Anurag is busy pulling Aaliyah’s leg with his witty humour. In a latest Instagram post, the director has taken a funny dig at the expenses he is going to have at his daughter’s marriage.

Anurag dropped a funny post on daughter’s marriage

Anurag shared a photo of himself on his Instagram handle, in which he is seen sitting with his friends. Wearing a black blazer, with matching shirt and pants, the filmmaker is playing with his mobile while sitting on the couch.

Posting this picture of his, Anurag Kashyap wrote in the caption, “@cinemakasam was pissed off while saying ”yahan to phone chhod do !!”. He is not aware that I am calculating the number of remakes I will have to do to throw a wedding party, because my darling Aaliyah Kashyap and her lovely boyfriend Shane Gregoire have surprised with me with the announcement of their engagement in the middle of our Cannes Festival journey #Kennedy.”

Aaliyah Kashyap posted some photos after her engagement with boyfriend Shane, which are doing the rounds on the internet. In the first picture, the star kid is flaunting her engagement ring, while in the second picture, she is locking lips with Shane.

Alongside these photos, Aaliyah wrote in the caption, “My best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my fiancé. You are the only love of my life. Thank you for showing what unconditional love is like. Now I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love.”

Workwise, Anurag Kashyap is currently attending the prestigious Cannes International film Festival for the screening of his film ‘Kennedy’.
