The choice to talk about health is up to the individual, but it cannot be denied that, especially for lesser-known conditions, having someone talk openly about them can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and be a supportive force for fans who may be struggling.

The following celebrities from Hollywood and Bollywood have medical concerns yet never give up:

Deepika Padukone

Bollywood’s Superstar Deepika Padukone is one of the few celebrities who has spoken out about her silent nemesis, depression, even when the stigma of the revelation threatened to ruin her career. Fortunately, she found help and has gone on to not only work on several projects, but also to launch the Live Love Laugh mental health non-governmental organisation in India.

Billie Eilish is a worldwide pop icon, a Grammy and an Oscar Award winner and she suffers with Tourette Syndrome every day. Tourette Syndrome is an uncommon neurological system illness characterized by repetitive and uncontrolled movements (such as blinking or shoulder shrugging) or sounds known as “tics.” In a recent interview, she described her condition as ‘exhausting,’ adding that her music is almost therapeutic; when she sings, the tics continue.

Justin Bieber

In early 2020, the singer revealed that he has Lyme disease as well as infectious mononucleosis, also known as glandular fever.

In 2022 Justin Bieber, the pop sensation, revealed that a viral disease has temporarily paralyzed one side of his face. The singer revealed he suffers from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. a rare condition. Justin Bieber said in an Instagram video that his right side is completely paralyzed due to the condition.
