Sanjay Dutt and Rajiv Kapoor had played pivotal roles in Toolsidas Junior, a Hindi film. It’s a sports drama directed by Mridul, with producers Ashutosh Gowariker and Bhushan Kumar on board. It was the last movie of the veteran actor Rajiv Kapoor.

The Event

Armaan Jain, Randhir Kapoor, Rima Jain, Aadar Jain, Kunal Kapoor and other members of the Kapoor family were among those in attendance. Neela Devi, Shammi Kapoor’s wife, was also present. Film producers Bhushan Kumar, Ashutosh Sunita Gowariker, and director Mridul had also given their presence.

On Thursday, the late Rajiv Kapoor’s final film Toolsidas Junior was shown in Mumbai. Ashutosh Gowariker and T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar hosted the event.

The Movie

Rajiv Kapoor, Raj Kapoor’s youngest son, died of a heart attack on February 9, 2021. After three decades away from acting, Toolsidas Junior was his comeback movie. Shortly before his death, the shot was completed.

Toolsidas Junior, directed by Mridul and starring Sanjay Dutt, is an uplifting sports drama. Ashutosh and Sunita Gowariker’s Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Bhushan and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series had produced the film.

Ashutosh Gowariker and Bhushan Kumar collaborated for the first time on ‘Toolsidas Junior.’ T-Series and Gowariker have previously collaborated on the soundtrack for the Gowariker-directed Swades.

In terms of the film, Toolsidas Junior is a father-son drama that began filming in 2018. According to reports, Sanjay Dutt portrays a snooker coach in the film, while Varun Buddhadev plays Rajiv’s on-screen kid.

Rajiv Kapoor is well known for his role as Naren in Raj Kapoor’s 1985 film Ram Teri Ganga Maili. He last appeared in the 1990 romantic movie Zimmedaaar. Prem Granth, a 1996 film starring Rishi Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit, was also directed.
