In the wake of the recent Indigo pilot assault incident, comedian-actor Vir Das has made headlines for both commending a heroic cabin crew member and responding sassily to a suggestion regarding his choice of travel class.
Comedian Vir Das praised a cabin crew member on X for courageously confronting a passenger assaulting an Indigo pilot. The incident occurred during a 13-hour flight delay. In his initial tweet, Vir wrote, “Shoutout to the lady from Indigo cabin crew who stood up to that idiot like a boss.”
However, a Twitter user responded, suggesting that Vir Das should try traveling in economy class and endure a 16-hour flight delay before commenting on such matters. Unfazed by the comment, Vir Das responded with his trademark wit, revealing that he, in fact, frequently travels in economy. He retorted, “Travel economy all the time. Here’s how it works genius. If you’re upset that your travel is delayed, and you assault someone, you’re further delaying your travel. If you thought you were late before… try getting arrested.”
