Veteran actor Dharmendra shared an emotional note on his Instagram handle recently. He posted a photo of him and his daughter Esha with the note.

He wrote, “Esha, Ahana, Hema and all my darling kids… loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s I love you and respect you all from the core of my heart….age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to you… but (folded hands emoji)”.

Absence from Karan’s wedding

Many fans and media houses pointed out the absence of Hema Malini and her daughters from Sunny Deol’s son’s wedding celebrations. Although Esha Deol had posted her wishes for the new couple on her Instagram handle, netizens were left wondering if they were not invited to the wedding ceremony at all. Karan Deol’s wedding with his long-time girlfriend Drisha Acharya was a star-studded event. With most B-town being invited and present for the ceremonies, netizens missed Hema Malini’s family.

The Sholay star married his co-star in several movies Hema Malini, without divorcing his first wife Prakash Kaur. Dharmendra has 4 children from Prakash Kaur – Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, and Ajeita and 2 daughters from Hema Malini – Esha and Ahana. Sunny and Bobby Deol have always maintained a dignified distance from them to avoid hurting their mother’s sentiments. During Esha and Ahana Deol’s wedding events, actor and cousin Abhay Deol performed the rituals of a brother.

Hours after her father posted this message online, Esha Deol responded to it. She wrote, “Love you Papa. You are the best. Love you unconditionally & you know that. Cheer up and always be happy & healthy. Love u (kissing and evil eye emoji)”. Dharmendra will be seen next in Karan Johar’s Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani along with Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt.
