Vishal Punjabi of The Wedding Filmer filmed the wedding of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. He shared on the All About Eve podcast that he made peace with the fact that Ranveer and Deepika could never release their wedding video.
“You’ll be surprised Deepika and Ranveer didn’t share it for five years. I thought it would never be seen,” he said and added, “I guess sometimes, some things are so beautiful, you don’t want to share it with the world. Nazar na lage, as mums would say, and I get that sentiment.”
Vishal said that the internet is quite toxic at times so celebrities are not too keen on sharing moments from their special days.
Vishal has also filmed other popular celebrity weddings like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra.
Opening about Anushka-Virat and Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding, he said that both were “intimate, sweet, beautiful weddings with people who they were close to, people they talk to every day.
They didn’t call the whole world. For that, they had a big reception party when they came back. They have fine taste and they can afford cooler things. And they looked stunning.”
