Dharma Productions And Now, This? Fan’s Livid At Drop, Ask If The Roads Arch Towards Another SSR

By B. Suryanarayanan

Weeks have passed since Kartik Aryan was dropped from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, and it did not sit down well with many, hitting the headlines to the top trends. Sources have it that Kartik’s ‘unprofessional’ behaviour was the reason for him getting kicked out of the crew, and that Karan wouldn’t work with him anymore in the near future.

And now, Kartik has started trending again for recent reports that seem to point fingers at the actor getting ousted from Shah Rukh Khan’s production venture, Red Chillies Entertainment’s film, tentatively titled Freddie.

The film was supposed to mark the start of Kartik collaborating in debut with Katrina Kaif. This hasty move from Red Chillies entertainment hasn’t sat down well with his fans, and they are raging mad at this decision.

According to close sources and Komal Nahata, they have attributed the reason to be the same as that of Dostana 2, with Kartik wishing to change the script after signing the role. Except, the makers could be taken to heave a sigh of relief for not letting the project go on floors, and then sending the money down the drain.

But Bollywood Hungama says otherwise. It is believed that Kartik ousted himself from the film on his own due to differences with Ajay Bahl. He had completed Dhamaka with Red Chillies which was a thriller.

It has been said that the actor felt doing ‘another thriller’ wouldn’t be apt for him, and hence decided to walk out of the venture, and reports suggest that the parting has been mutual with no differences from either side and Kartik has refunded the 2-cr. signed for his part.

But his fans and other Bollywood audiences aren’t ready to buy this after Sushant Singh Rajput’s fiasco with both the production houses that hold on to big names in the industry. They wish he speaks out so that they get to hear what ‘really happened’.

Guess Bollywood’s trending more for the new entrants dropping than the nepotism debate.

What do you think went wrong?
