Shubhangi Atre has been ruling our TV screens for a very long time now. Be it in Kasturi, Chidiya Ghar, or Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, Atre slew in every role she is being given. But mainly, the actress tasted success with her portrayal of Angoori in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain. Shubhangi stepped into the shoes of actress Shilpa Shinde. After Shinde’s exit, it came as a huge responsibility on Atre to play the character of Angoori with an ace. But she did full justice to the role and won hearts in a matter of few months.
Looking back at the initial days of Shubhangi, one would be surprised to know the kind of struggle this beautiful actress had. She started working at a very young age. The actress first faced the cameras, not for a TV show but for commercials. Many people are unaware of the fact that Shubhangi earned her first salary when she was in the 12th standard only.
In a conversation with Telly Chakkar, Atre shared that her first earned money was 300 rupees. “I did one small shampoo ad and I got 2500 Rs for that, and my first salary was when I was in 12th and I started taking dance lessons and I took a few classes and I got 300 Rs,” the actress said.
Talking about replacing Shinde as Angoori in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, Shubhangi said that any piece of work done with honesty would definitely yield fruitful results. “The character is very strong and if you work with full honesty and hard work you’ll definitely receive the best results and I was not nervous at all and I did not think a lot because then I could not do anything and it was a strong character so I did not think about it a lot and accepted the character,” she asserted.
The 40-year-old actress credits the patience she holds in sustaining the industry. Atre elaborated on the same and said, “In this industry, the struggle is always on, the struggle is not only that you keep auditioning but the sustaining, you’ll have to keep yourself fit and look good so there is a constant struggle, and I have worked with a lot of patience because a lot of rejection is there so you have to keep yourself motivated, people think I am very calm but I am very impulsive and things affect very quickly on me.”
For the unversed, Shubhangi forayed into acting after her marriage in 2006. She debuted with Ekta Kapoor’s Kasauti Zindagi Kay. Later she was seen in many TV shows like Kasturi, Do Hanson Ka Joda, Adhuri Kahaani Hamari, etc.
