Dipika Kakar Talks About Her Track Ending On The Show; Read To Know More

There’s no doubt that the new season of Sasural Simar Ka 2 has captured all the attention of the viewers. The plot of this season, with its twists and turn of events, is getting immense love from the audience. Dipika Kakar Ibrahim has succeeded once again to win hearts with her powerful acting and strong character as Simar in the show, but in this season we also witnessed another Simar (Choti Simar) aka Radhika Muthukumar. She is seen opposite Avinash Mukherjee. A few weeks ago, we reported about the probability of Dipika Kakar’s role as Simar ending in the show. There was no confirmation from reliable sources back then. But Dipika has now released a statement on the same because the news left fans extremely heartbroken. They didn’t expect and imagine season 2 without their original Simar.

Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, Dipika Kakar Ibrahim spoke about her on-screen character’s end. She said that her role as Simar has ended and she has returned from Agra to Mumbai. Dipika also said that she knew from the beginning that her track in the second season was about connecting the first and second seasons. She added “People know me as the original Simar and what I am today is because of the show. I met my husband Shoaib (Ibrahim) on the show. So, people should not jump to any conclusions about why my track is over.”

Dipika further said, “Netizens have asked me this question several times. They wanted to know why I accepted the role of a senior woman in the show and my response to them was simple. Everything in the world is not about roles and how meaty they are. It is also about my contribution to the show. The first season played an important role in shaping my career, so participating in the second season was my way of giving back to the show.”

Well, we cannot agree more as Dipika Kakar became a household name after playing the character of Simar only. Also, the fact that we got a lovey-dovey couple born out of the same show, cannot be ignored. We wish Dipika the best in her future endeavours.
