Ayushmann Khurana’s younger brother Aparshakti Khurana is still in the budding stage of his career. Though the actor has done some extremely praise-worthy and noticeable roles in big films, he feels that he is not yet priviledged like many others in the industry. Gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Dhokha Round D Corner, Khurana got into a conversation to talk more about it.
When asked how it feels to work with a ‘Comedy star’ tag, the actor stated, “Honestly, I can’t take the credit. The scripts I got up until today are available for everyone in the market. I still don’t have opportunities to pick or choose a film. I am no Ranveer Singh yet. Out of ten films, I might pick up one or two, and Dhokha Round D Corner came to me. I do believe that working with a known production house makes things much easier. Frankly, with Dhokha… the process has become easier since Darshan Kumaar is my neighbour too. I agreed to do this film since it wasn’t a comedy.”
“Interestingly, for about 5-6 years when I was doing theatre in Delhi, I was only offered dark and intense roles. I kept insisting to my directors that please let me do some comedy but they used to shun me away as they believed that my body language doesn’t resonate with comedy. I totally believe that audiences decide how an actor will be. They decided Tiger Shroff is an action hero, Ranbir Kapoor is a romantic hero, and Ayushmann Khurrana will do content-driven films, but these three are very senior examples in comparison to me,” he added further.
Telling about whether he discusses scripts with Ayushmann before signing them up, the Hum Do Hamare Do actor quoted, “He is extremely busy in his space, and so do I. Apart from being actors, we are both musicians too, so we both keep busy with our music too. We hardly meet once a month for a family dinner, and we don’t wish to discuss work at the dinner table, especially when kids and wives are around. It is only about personal talk. But, there’s, undoubtedly, perpetual love and respect for each other’s work.”
Let us tell you that Aparshakti Khurana first appeared in Aamir Khan’s Dangal. He featured in supporting roles in films like Luka Chuppi, Stree, Pati Patni Aur Woh,Jabariya Jodi, Bala, etc.
