Esha Gupta, well known for films like ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Total Dhamaal’ and ‘Baadshaho’, recently tested positive for Covid. The actress notified her followers about her diagnosis through social media.
“Despite the utmost precautions, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have been following the protocols & have isolated myself and currently under home quarantine.”
“I am sure I will come back stronger and better out of this. Please stay safe and mask up! Take care of yourself and others. Don’t forget to #MaskUp I love you all!” she further added.
Last week, Bollywood celebrities like John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal, Ekta Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar have tested positive for Covid. The sudden rise in cases had led to several new restrictions being put in place.
Her diagnosis comes days after she marked the New Year celebrations in Spain alongside her beau Manuel Campos Guallar. Uploading pictures of the couple from their exquisite celebrations, Esha wrote, ‘2022 from mine to you.’ She could be seen in a gorgeous corset gown, while Manuel sported a classic black tux.
On the work front, Esha has starred in films like ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘Baadshaho’. She was last seen in the web series ‘Nakaab’ and will also be seen in ‘Invisible Woman’ working with Suniel Shetty.
Theatres in several states have shut down and once again, Bollywood film releases are being postponed. Till now, films like ‘Jersey’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ have been postponed. The shoot of Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ and Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ has also been put on hold.
