‘Everyone Should Be Worried’: Naseeruddin Shah’s Shocking Revelation On PM Modi’s Third Term

Naseeruddin Shah recently commented on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third consecutive term and the results of the Lok Sabha elections.

Despite the BJP forming a full majority government in 2014 and 2019, they fell short of a full majority in the 2024 elections. Shah, known for his candidness, expressed his views on the current political scenario in an interview with ‘The Wire’.

When asked about sharing power in the NDA with Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), Shah straightforwardly remarked that it would be like swallowing a bitter pill for Modi.

Nasiruddin Shah Expressed that this would be challenging for Narendra Modi. Shah also claimed that the firebrand BJP leader from Gujarat tends to take things personally.

In the interview, Shah shared his satisfaction upon learning that the BJP did not achieve a full majority this time. He remarked, “When I heard that the BJP did not get a full majority in the Lok Sabha elections and did not perform as well as the last two times, I was happy.”

He further added, “PM Narendra Modi had assumed that he would remain Prime Minister for life. Now, running a coalition government will be like swallowing a bitter pill for him.”

Shah also emphasized the importance of modern education and new ideas for the Muslim community, rather than focusing solely on madrasas. He stated, “If PM Modi wears a Muslim cap, it would send a positive message that he does not hate Muslims. Such a gesture would be very helpful.”
