Amala Paul shared her experience at the temple’s visitor’s register. She claimed to have “felt the soul” even without seeing the goddess. ‘It is sad and disappointing that religious discrimination still exists in 2023,’ Amala Paul wrote in the temple’s visitor’s register. “I couldn’t get close to the Goddess, but I could feel her even from a distance. The temple authorities, run by the Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva Temple Foundation, have been under surveillance since the incident became known. According to media reports, the temple authorities said they would follow the existing rituals. Foundation secretary Prasun Kumar said, “Many devotees of different religions come to the temple for darshan, but no one knows. However, when a celebrity shows up, it becomes issue.”
