During a conversation with a leading daily, the singer said that he had a long struggle in life before finding peace in music. He began by sharing that he has done many odd jobs before making a career in music. When he was 20 or 21, he started doing export business in Delhi. But unfortunately, the business collapsed. After this, he went to Rishikesh to become a ‘pandit’. However, he felt isolated there as his fellow mates mates were younger than him and his views never matched theirs. Kailash said that he felt so dejected that one day he tried taking his life by jumping into the river Ganga. Luckily, a man saved him and scolded him too for attempting suicide.

After this incident, Kailash pondered upon life for some days as he was failing at everything. He realized his worth later when he reached Bombay. Kailash believes that it is mother Ganga that pushed him away and sent him towards father, the sea.

Not a long time ago, Kailash hit headlines for suffering from an unpleasant incident while performing at Karnataka’s Hampi Utsav. Two youths threw bottle on him while he was singing on the stage.

For the unknown, Kailash Kher has given some memorable tracks such as Teri Deewani, Saiyyan, Yuhi Chala Chal Rahi, Ya Rabba, etc. to music lovers.
