‘Flop Breed’: Netizens Lament As Liger Becomes Worst-Rated Indian Film On IMDb!

The big budget film of south superstar Vijay Deverakonda, Liger has been grabbing headlines since the time it was announced. But after its release recently, the film has proved to be a major failure. It opened to mixed reviews and has failed to bring audiences to the theatres.

Now, adding to the maker’s disappointment, Liger is being tagged as the worst-rated Indian movie on IMDb recently. Deverakonda-led film tops the list of worst-rated Indian films released by IMDb. It has grabbed the spot after beating Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha with a rating of 5, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan with 4.6 ratings, Taapsee Pannu’s Dobaaraa with 2.9, and Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera with 4.9. IMDb rated the movie with a score of 1.7 out of 10. The rating is as per the votes received by the viewers. After hearing about this piece of news, netizens are lashing out at the actor and the film on Reddit.

One netizen wrote, “Ignore the 10s and 1s. Those might be biased. Even other than those, the biggest bar is 2. This movie is clearly hated across the board.” Another took a dig at the subtitle of the movie i.e. Saala Crossbreed and penned, “Saala flop breed.” A third user commented, “Who is giving 10 to this movie?”

Before this, a Mumbai theatre owner also slammed the Arjun Reddy star for his rude remarks on the ongoing boycott trend. “Why are you showing smartness by saying ‘Boycott our movie’? People won’t even watch on OTT. Such behavior of yours has put us in trouble and impacting our advance bookings. Mr Vijay, you are anaconda not ‘Konda Konda’. You are talking like an anaconda. ‘Vinaash kaale vipareet buddhi’, when the time of destruction inches closer, the mind stops working, and you are doing that. anyways, it’s your wish,” he told a leading portal.

Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger features Ananya Panday and Ramya Krishnan alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Famous American boxer Myke Tyson has a cameo in the sports drama. The film has become Vijay’s thrid flop in a line.
