Devgarh’s Chief District Medical Officer MK Upadhyay said that in the village where these elders live, 81 people were found infected between April 10-30 in that village. He said that but a modified strain was found in these 60-year-old elders, which the central government has identified as a form of concern. He said that he is happy that this old man has now recovered.

Health Department officials said that the first dose of Covishield probably gave these elders the strength to fight the Delta Plus form. Director of Health Services Dr. Bijay Mohapatra said that the pathology team would continue to monitor his health further.
