‘Had No Source Of Income’: Arjun Rampal Reflects On Past Hardships

The actor Arjun Rampal talked about his early professional days and how, at one time, he had no “source of income.” Arjun recently talked about “hating” himself for the role he played in Ashok Mehta’s 2001 film Moksha in an interview with Pop Diaries.

“I was a pretty successful model when Ashok Mehta approached me about the movie Moksha, in which I had the wonderful role of Manisha Koirala opposite me. That was when she was at her best. I had no idea that making the movie would require six years. I made the decision to stop modeling as a result,” he remarked.

Arjun on having no money

“At that time, I had no source of money. At the time, I was renting a fantastic apartment from a Sardarji in Andheri, Mumbai, where I was residing at Seven Bungalows. Every month on the first, he would arrive, and I would look at him and he would stare at me. “Nahi hai” (You don’t have the money, do you?) he would ask. I would then shake my head. “Koi nahi, tu de dega” (Never mind, I’m sure you’ll pay me) would be his response. You need those kinds of pauses in your life; he was the sweetest man,” he continued.

Arjun’s last film

The last movie that fans saw Arjun in was Crakk, which debuted on February 23 of this year. The film, which is directed by Aditya Datt, also features Amy Jackson, Nora Fatehi, and Vidyut Jammwal.

A statement describes Crakk as a man’s journey “to the world of extreme underground sports” from the Mumbai slums. It is produced by Vidyut’s Action Hero Films and PZ Pictures, with Adi Sharmaa and Aditya Chowksey serving as co-producers. Reliance Entertainment is in charge of presentation.
