‘Had To Go Through Therapy’: Kangana Ranaut Recollects Acid Attack Incident On Sister Rangoli Chandel!

After a 17-year-old girl faced an acid attack in Delhi’s Dwarka on Tuesday, Kangana Ranaut shared about her sister Rangoli Chandel’s trauma. She shared how she herself was terrified after the attack. The actor said that every time a stranger passed her, she violently used to cover her face.

On Tuesday, two masked men on bikes threw acid at a Class 12 student. They attacked her after she left her home in West Delhi for school. As reported by PTI, the girl sustained eight percent burns. She is having treatment at the burn ICU of Safdarjung Hospital. The officials said that the accused may have thrown nitric acid at the victim.

Kangana Ranaut shared a long story on Instagram. She said that when she was a teenager her sister Rangoli Chandel was attacked with acid by a roadside Romeo. She had to go through 52 surgeries, and an unimaginable amount of mental and physical trauma. Their family was devastated.

She further added that she had to go through therapy because she feared anyone passing her might throw acid on her which caused her to cover her face violently in a reflex action every time a biker a car a stranger crossed her. These atrocities haven’t stopped. She wished for Government to act strongly against these crimes. She agreed with cricketer Gautam Gambhir.

Rangoli is married now. She has a five-year-old son, Prithviraj. She accompanies her sister Kangana to film events and screenings. She was 21 when she was attacked. She suffered third-degree burns. Kangana revealed that half of Rangoli’s face was burnt, one eye lost its sight, one ear melted and one breast was severely damaged.
