Daniel Radcliffe expressed his deep regret over Gambon’s death in a statement, “With the loss of Michael Gambon, the world just became considerably less fun,” Radcliffe wrote in a statement to Variety.
“It was a pleasure to work with Michael Gambon. He is one of the most brilliant, effortless actors I have ever met. But the most memorable thing about him was how much fun he had doing his job.” He was irreverent, silly, and entertaining”.
“He was an incredible storyteller and joke teller, and his proclivity for blurring the lines between the fantasy and reality when talking with journalists made him one of the most entertaining people with whom to do a press junket.” He said,
“The sixth film was where I got to spend the most time working with Michael and the hours we spent in front of a green screen together were so memorable and fun as he made them. I am so saddened to hear he has passed away, but I am so grateful to have worked with him.”

Daniel Radcliffe discussed working with iconic actor Michael Gambon in Harry Potter in a rediscovered interview with GQ last year. “While filming, Michael found out that he was easily able to make me laugh,” Daniel stated.
“So he would make me giggle until the word ‘activity’ came up, at which point I was unable to recover. On the other hand, with his natural gravitas and charisma, Gambon could easily slip into a performance.” Recalling one of the incidents from the filming of Prisoner of Azkaban.
Radcliffe stated, “Gambon and Alan Rickman, who played Snape, placed a single of the fart machines in my sleeping bag, and as the scene had to cover kids sleeping, I was on my sleeping bag too.”
