After the blockbuster success of Allu Arjun starrer “Pushpa: The Rise,” the audience is eagerly waiting for the sequel to the film. While the first part already had a star-studded cast, the makers are planning to rope in more talented actors in the second part. The rumors about the cast have always managed to grab the attention of the audience.

If the latest report is to be believed, National Award-winning actress Priyamani has signed on for the project, and will be seen in a key role. However, no official confirmation has been shared about it yet. According to the information going on in Telugu media, she will be seen in the role of Vijay Sethupathi’s character, Makal Selvan’s wife, in the film. It is being told that Priyamani has heard the script and has also agreed.

For the inattentive, rumours are rife that the makers have approached Vijay Sethupathi to play an important role in this film. Let you know that, the actor was also a part of the first part of the film, i.e., “Pushpa: The Rise” initially, but due to date problems, he had left it. Now, the team of the upcoming film has roped him in for the second part. Reportedly, he will be seen in the role of a forest officer in this film.

In a recent interaction, producer Y Ravi Shankar shared some details about the shooting front. He said: “We have a strike going on here in the Telugu film industry. Once this strike is over, we will start shooting from the end of August, or whenever it is over.” As far as “Pushpa: The Rule” is concerned, it must be known that the film is going to revolve around the conflict between the character of Allu Arjun and his dangerous foe, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, that is going to be played by Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil.

The second part of the film is likely to be more action-packed than the first part. Actress Rashmika Mandanna will once again be seen as the lead actress in it. She will reprise her character as Srivalli from the first part of “Pushpa.” Its music will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad. He is the same musician who gave chartbuster songs like “Srivalli” and “Oo Antava” in “Pushpa: The Rise.” Reportedly, he has already composed three songs for the sequel to this film.

Talking about Priyamani’s work line-up, she is going through a busy phase on the work front. The actress was last seen in the Rana Daggubati-led “Virata Parvam,” which did poorly at the box office. She will soon be seen in Boney Kapoor-backed sports drama “Maidaan” alongside Ajay Devgn. She also has action film “Jawan” starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by Atlee, in her work line-up; which will hit the theatres on June 2, 2023.
