‘Having No Life’: Aditya Roy Kapur Finds Maintaining Physique Is Just Not Worth It!

Actor Aditya Roy Kapur has earned a name for himself with several memorable roles in movies like Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, etc. His drool-worthy looks can make any girl go weak on her knees. With his next release, Om: The Battle Within, Kapur is trying to get away from the image of a lover boy. He is playing a supersoldier in the movie and for that, the actor has worked really hard on his physique.

In a recent interview, Aditya talked about how he feels the process of maintaining the body is ‘sad’ and ‘not worthy.’ On being asked about the secret behind his fitness, the 36-year-old actor said, “It’s just having no life. Not being able to eat and drink what you like. It’s all quite sad. I don’t think it’s worth it. Early in my career, I used to start fit, and during the course of the film, I would just keep following because I would eat the set food all of that. I used to do yo-yo. I was 102 kilo, went to shape for Fitoor, then again I went up, again I went down.”

Aditya forayed into Bollywood in 2009 alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn in London Dreams. He tasted fame with the 2013 film Aashiqui 2, which starred actress Shraddha Kapoor opposite him. Aditya appeared last in Anurag Basu’s award-winning film Ludo (2020). He presently has a Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Thadam, in the pipeline. His upcoming film Om: The Battle Within also features Sanjana Sanghi, Ashutosh Rana, and Prakash Raj. Directed by Kapil Verma, the film will hit the screens on July 1.
