The 40-year-old Katrina Kaif is excited about her upcoming thriller release, Merry Christmas. It’s coming out in January. She will appear opposite Tamil actor and producer Vijay Sethupathi in the Sriram Raghavan directorial.
During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Katrina Kaif shared that she was confused about addressing her co-star. She couldn’t decide whether she should be calling him ‘sir’ or not.
Katrina told the entertainment channel that she and her husband Vicky Kaushal were talking. He noticed her addressing Vijay Sethupathi as ‘sir.’
“And Vicky said, ‘Aap Vijay sir bulate hain? (You address him as Vijay sir?)’” To which she admitted to battling on this front. She then revealed that they had to google Vijay Sethupathi’s age to find an answer.
Vijay Sethupathi responded coolly to Katrina Kaif’s confusion
Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi were on a panel before the release of Merry Christmas. Katrina grabbed the opportunity to clarify some doubts about his co-star’s age.
Maintaining a cool composure, Vijay immediately announced ‘44′.
Katrina was quick on her heels to clarify. “We thought we’ll decide, umar ke hisaab se (according to his age). I don’t know. I’m confused.”
He mentioned that usually, actors address each other as sir or brother out of respect. “You can call me Vijay. Hi, Vijay! Hey, Vijay! Kuchh bhi chalega (anything works).”
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal had also googled Vijay Sethupathi’s age earlier to solve her dilemma. earlier this year, Katrina had also shared that Merry Christmas is her most difficult film yet. She said it at the Red Sea Film Festival.
