Several inside looks at the Kapoor family’s Christmas celebration went online, and one of the cake-cutting videos quickly went viral. A police station in Mumbai received a complaint on December 27, 2023, alleging that a video of Ranbir Kapoor and his family celebrating Christmas offended religious feelings. Presently, there isn’t a First Information Report (FIR) on file for this case.
Sanjay Tiwari, via his attorneys Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, filed the complaint at the Ghatkopar police station. In the complaint, he stated that he witnessed Ranbir dousing the cake in alcohol and exclaiming “Jai Mata Di” as he set it ablaze. The actor and his family members purposefully drank alcohol while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted “Jai Mata Di,” despite the fact that in Hinduism the fire god is invoked before invoking other deities. According to the complaint, this gesture offended her religious feelings.
