“I Never Danced In Wedding Or Private Party Even After Offered Insane Money”: Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut, best known for her London Thumakda hit in Queen, has said she denies being offered “insane sums” for dancing at weddings and private parties. The actress shared a flashback video of singer Asha Bhosle talking about how Lata Mangeshkar was against this things .

Sharing a short clip of Asha Bhosle from a reality show, Kangana wrote, “I agree to this. Even, I have never danced at a wedding or a private party. I’m glad I found this video… Lataji is really very inspiring.”

In the video, Asha talks about her older sister, the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who was once offered to sing a million dollars at a wedding but declined the offer.

Speaking about the proposal, Asha says in the video, “Unhone Kaha 2 ghante sirf aap darshan dijiye hamari shaadi mein…lekin lata ne kaha Aap 5 million bhi denge tab bhi nhi aayege. (they say come to our wedding in two hours but Lata rejected saying even if you will offer 5 million to me I will not come. ) ”

Lata Mangeshkar is one of the greatest singers in India. She passed away in February of this year. Kangana objected to not paying tribute to Lata ji at the Grammy and Oscar ceremonies held days after Lata’s death and at the time called for Instagram to boycott those awards. Kangana said, “Applies to the international level but ignore and intentionally ignore legendary artists because of race or ideology…both the Oscars and the Grammys failed to honour Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Ji…our media pretend to do so, A complete boycott of a biassed event is a worldwide honour.”

On the work front, Kangana is currently shooting for her film emergency under surveillance. She is going to play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. She regularly shares photos and videos from film sets. This historical drama also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade and Bhumika Chawla.
