The story revolves around a poor girl aspiring to become a singer. She meets a wealthy businessman, played by Rao, and they decide to have a contract marriage for their personal gain. While the show is gradually engaging the audience, an unfortunate incident has occurred on the set that could pose challenges for the makers.

A lightman dies due to electric shock at Imlie set

According to an ETimes report, a 25-year-old lightman on the set of ‘Imlie’ was struck by lightning and suffered a severe electric shock. The injured lightman was rushed to the hospital, but tragically, he passed away before reaching the medical facility. Top officials have called for action against the show’s producers and the channel in response to this incident.

AICWA called for an action against producer

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has made three demands to address this situation. They have called for action against the show’s producer, Gul Khan, and the channel. They have also requested that an amount of Rs 50 lakh be provided to the family of the crew member who lost his life. Furthermore, AICWA has demanded the immediate resignation of the Managing Director and Commissioner of Film City.

Imlie originally starred Sumbul Toqueer and Fahmaan khan

Regarding the ‘Imlie’ serial, the show originally starred Sumbul Tauqeer Khan and Gashmeer Mahajani in lead roles. However, Gashmeer decided to exit the show, leading to the introduction of a new character portrayed by Fahmaan Khan alongside Tauqeer. Fahmaan Khan’s chemistry with Sumbul quickly became a fan favorite, both on and off-screen. The audience was taken aback and saddened by the news of his departure and the conclusion of the first season.

Second season recently closed

In the second season, Megha Chakraborty, Karan Vohra, and Seerat Kapoor were cast as Imlie, Atharva, and Cheeni, respectively. The second season recently concluded.
