In Line With Dear Zindagi, Akshay Kumar Set To Play Mentor Role For Ananya Panday In C. Sankaran Nair Biopic

In the 2016 film Dear Zindagi, Shah Rukh Khan played a mentor to Alia Bhatt, deviating from the traditional romantic roles that Bollywood often portrays. This shift was well-received by audiences and marked a change in the dynamics of the Indian film industry.

Now, in Karan Johar’s upcoming biopic, The Untold Story Of C. Sankaran Nair, Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday are set to portray a similar mentor-pupil relationship. The movie, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, tells the story of Nair, a prominent Indian lawyer who fought against the British empire during the time of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar will play the lead role of Nair, while Ananya Panday’s character’s details are yet to be revealed. The movie is eagerly anticipated by fans, who are excited to see how the mentor-pupil dynamic will be portrayed in this historical context.

Insiders close to the project revealed that Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday play the roles of lawyers in the movie. Akshay portrays a seasoned and highly esteemed lawyer, while Ananya’s character is a newcomer seeking guidance from him.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Tinu Suresh Desai’s Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, which premiered in October. The film centred around the remarkable efforts of Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued a substantial number of miners trapped in a flooded mine in Raniganj in 1989. In the movie, Akshay portrayed Gill, sharing the screen with talents like Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, and more. Recently, the film began streaming on Netflix.
