Ishaan Khatter will portray Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta in the forthcoming film Pippa, which Raja Krishna Menon will direct. Director Menon previously helmed Akshay Kumar’s Airlift and the Hindi remake of Chef, which starred Saif Ali Khan in the starring role. In it, the life of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta is shown, who was a war veteran who fought with his brothers and sisters during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war. The film will also include Mrunal Thakur, who will portray Khatter’s younger sister, and Priyanshu Painyuli, who will portray Khatter’s older brother.

On Monday, Ishaan Khatter revealed the completion of his next film on social media only a few hours ago and offered a peek at his character.
The Dhadak actor shared the images on his Instagram account and a beautiful message that said, “Thank you for your support. I’m overwhelmed with appreciation for the opportunity to see this film. It’s been a dream come true to collaborate with such a talented group of people. I’m humbled and overflowing with affection. The following is a message from Captain Balram Singh Mehta, who is signing off Pippa. We’ll see you at the movies shortly.”
Meanwhile, Pippa is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 9th, 2022. Amritsar, West Bengal, Ahmednagar, and Mumbai were all used as locations for the filming.
The film, which is being created by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films, will also star veteran actor Soni Razdan. The film is centred on Brigadier Mehta’s book, The Burning Chaffees. According to reports, the title is derived from the Russian amphibious combat tank PT-76, also known as ‘Pippa,’ which was used in World War II.
