In the video, Javed Akhtar is seen answering a query from a member of the audience, who asks whether or not, after visiting Pakistan multiple times, he tries to convince Indians that Pakistanis are good and that they do more than simply bombing but welcome with garlands and affection. The actor then stated
“We should not assign each other responsibility. That will have no effect. The strained environment should be diffused. We are individuals from Mumbai, and we saw the bombing firsthand. The assailants were not from either Norway or Egypt. In your nation, they are still at large. There is no use in expressing displeasure if the Person is feeling the wrath.”
His post on social media garnered such positive feedback that some even called it a surgical strike. Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut said that the poet-lyricist had been successful in getting his people to pay attention to the truth. He was thanked by Kangana Ranaut for expressing that. But, when questioned about it by a news outlet, Javed Akhtar said that he did not give much thought to Kangana Ranaut’s remarks. He said that he did not think much of her.
