Jennifer Lopez Suddenly Cancels Her ‘This Is Me… Now’ Tour; Disappointed By Low Album Sales

Jennifer Lopez unexpectedly cancelled seven shows from her “This is me… Now” tour, following disappointing album sales. These cancellations came as a surprise, given that the tour marked her first North American appearance in five years.

The affected shows, scheduled from August 20th to 31st, were set to take place in cities like Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston. Interestingly, some upcoming performances were entirely removed from Ticketmaster’s and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse’s websites, adding to the confusion surrounding the cancellations.

Despite the cancellations, Jennifer Lopez has remained silent on her social media platforms regarding the news. Ticket holders were promptly notified of the cancellations and assured that refunds would be processed automatically.

Ticketmaster’s message regarding the cancelled events states, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”

As of now, neither Lopez nor Live Nation has issued an official statement addressing the cancellations. However, Entertainment Weekly speculated that a “logistical issue through the promoter” may be the cause, leaving open the possibility of rescheduling the shows in the future.

Frustration among fans surfaced on Facebook, with one expressing disappointment over the cancellation of the Cleveland show and wishing for clarity on the reasons behind the cancellations.

Another fan lamented the cancellation of the Atlanta show, revealing it was intended as an anniversary present.

Despite the lack of official explanation, reports indicate weak ticket sales, evident from large numbers of unsold tickets across various tour dates according to Ticketmaster seating charts.

Furthermore, Variety highlights Jennifer Lopez’s recent album, “This Is Me… Now,” which debuted weakly on the Billboard charts. This raises speculation that the tour cancellations may be connected to the album’s performance.
