TV actress Kajal Pisal’s name is coming to the fore for the role of Taarak Mehta’s Dayaben. Although earlier Kajal had refused to say anything about this matter. However, now she himself has admitted that she auditioned for the role of Dayaben. In a conversation with Times of India, Kajal Pisal said, “Yes, I auditioned for the role of Dayaben in the month of August. I didn’t want to tell anyone about it at that time, because I was only for the audition. Not that I had got the role. In such a situation, anything was finalized between me and the makers. After giving the audition, I waited for a long time for the call of the makers, but the call did not come. I thought I was not selected.”

Kajal further said, “I am not doing Dayaben’s role, but due to this many other roles were not approached. But because of this, some production houses and casting directors had it in their mind that I am Dayaben’s role. I am about to play, so they did not approach me for work. I realized this when some people called me and asked if I am playing Dayaben in Taarak Mehta. Have I signed that show? I want to tell all of them through this interview that I have not signed the show.”
