Kangana Ranaut has been working on her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ for quite some time now. The film is based on the Emergency imposed across the country by India’s first female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Work has started on this film with Kangana Ranaut. Kangana posted a picture on her Insta story with her ‘Emergency’ crew, in which she is seen discussing the film with everyone. Posting this story, Kangana wrote, ‘Emergency crew, shooting of the film will start soon’.

Kangana Ranaut will be playing the character of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for the first time on screen. If reports are to be believed, Kangana Ranaut will not only be playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film but she will also be seen handling the director’s command. Let us tell you that in the year 1975, Indira Gandhi, who was the Prime Minister, had announced the imposition of an emergency, after which Emergency was imposed across the country for 21 months from 25 June 1975 to 21 March 1977.
