Karan Johar Slams To Troll’s ‘Bahu’ Comment: ‘My Mother Doesn’t Need Time Pass’

Karan Johar, a well-known filmmaker, recently responded assertively to a troll’s personal comment on one of his social media posts. Renowned for his candid discussions about the impact of trolls on his show, “Koffee with Karan,” Johar took to Instagram stories to address the issue. In doing so, he provided a clarification on how his family dynamics function, shedding light on the influence of such comments on his life and choices. This incident adds to the ongoing narrative of celebrities dealing with public scrutiny and maintaining transparency regarding their personal lives on social media platforms.

The comment

Karan Johar, known for his frequent social media updates, recently shared pictures of his latest look on Instagram. The photos showcased his efforts to achieve a ‘simple and classic’ appearance as he prepared to host Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore on his show. Among the comments, a specific remark caught Johar’s attention. The comment suggested, “Bring a daughter-in-law home; your mom must be bored.” This remark seemed to prompt a response from Johar, leading him to address the issue on his Instagram stories. Additionally, the mention of Salman Khan fans being curious about a removed post adds an element of intrigue to the social media interaction.

Karan’s response

Expressing frustration, Karan Johar responded on his Instagram stories to a particular comment. Sharing a screenshot, he wrote, “Of all the crazy trolls, the abuse and judgment I get about my life choices and my way of being, I find comments like these offensive.” Emphasizing that daughters-in-law have their own identities and shouldn’t be a ‘time pass,’ he added, “a bahu is a label that comes with ridiculous regressive baggage.”

Karan also highlighted how his mother actively co-parents his children, Yash and Roohi. “Our mother co-parents our children with us and doesn’t need any ‘time pass’…her life is complete by the love we receive from her, and we do our best to give it back with all our hearts! And bringing in a ‘bahu’ is not an option for anyone concerned about our relationship status! Our children are blessed to have our mother guide us all…”

Making it clear that if he were to have a life partner, it would be on his terms, Karan Johar wrote, “I would do so to fill my void and not anyone else’s!”
