Legal Woes: Lawsuit Targets Cardi B And Offset For Alleged Rental Home Damage In Los Angeles

Cardi B and Offset find themselves in legal jeopardy as they confront accusations of causing a significant $85,000 in property damage. The source of this legal trouble stems from a recently filed lawsuit that alleges the couple inflicted extensive harm to a rental home located in Los Angeles. The lawsuit implies potential complications for the duo as they navigate the legal implications surrounding the alleged damages to the property.

Cardi B and Offset Accused of Property Damage and Breach of Contract

In court documents, the property owner, who has filed a lawsuit against the rappers for breach of contract and negligence, asserted that Cardi B, aged 31, and Offset, aged 32, resided in the house for nearly two years, vacating in October without providing any notice. The owner further accused the musicians of neglecting rent and utility payments for an extended period.

According to the court records, the condition of the house post-Cardi B and Offset’s departure was described as deplorable. Broken furniture, walls with holes, and permanent marks and stains on limestone tile floors, rugs, and curtains were reported. Additionally, the owner claimed the presence of burn marks on various surfaces such as tables, counters, and cabinets.

The owner estimated the repair cost for the damages to be a minimum of $85,000, with Cardi B and Offset reportedly ignoring multiple attempts to resolve the issue. This legal contention surfaced just weeks after Cardi publicly announced her separation from Offset.

In an Instagram Live session earlier this month, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper disclosed, “I’ve been single for a minute now.” She added that during a previous Live session, she had intended to share the news but hesitated, eventually stating, “I changed my mind.”

I ain’t never talk or touch that lady

Simultaneously, Offset refuted accusations of infidelity involving rapper Chrisean Rock, responding to Blueface’s claims with a firm denial: “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk, man, you need some help!”

Speculations about Cardi and Offset’s breakup arose in December when they mutually unfollowed each other on Instagram. In an enigmatic Instagram Story post early that month, Cardi cryptically expressed, “You know when you just outgrow [sic] relationships.”

“I’m weary of safeguarding people’s [sic] feelings… I NEED TO PRIORITIZE MYSELF!” Despite the separation, Cardi’s close friends express optimism, hoping that the couple will reconcile and reunite.

According to US Weekly, they have navigated numerous challenges over the years but have consistently found a way back to each other amid the ups and downs.

Prior to this instance, Cardi and Offset had experienced a previous separation. The couple, parents to two children, Kulture (5) and Wave (2), initially parted ways in December 2018. The breakup followed the leak of videos depicting Offset with other women. Subsequently, Cardi filed for divorce in September 2020, only to withdraw the filing two months later.
