Television actor, Nakuul Mehta and his singer-wife, Jankee Parekh Mehta have been enjoying parenthood since the arrival of their son, Sufi Mehta. Like every other parents, the duo has been taking utmost care of their little munchkin. Through social media, Nakuul and Jankee have been quite vocal in sharing all the difficulties and joys they have experienced as parents till now. Recently, Jankee celebrated World Breastfeeding Week. She walked down the memory lane to look back at her exhausting yet magical breastfeeding journey after Sufi’s birth.
Jankee talks about her breastfeeding journey
Taking to her Instagram handle, Nakuul’s darling wife dropped a collaborative post with the digital media site, SheThePeople. She shared some unseen pictures dating back to her pre-delivery and post-delivery days. In the video which shows various glimpses of Jankee, viewers can listen the singer’s voiceover narrating various anecdotes from her breastfeeding journey.
Jankee stated that she is overwhelmed with gratitude and pride over her 16-month long feeding mother’s journey. She remembered how tough and tiring the initial 60 days were. The singer revealed facing problems like low milk supply, fatigue induced meltdowns, clogged ducts, and sore nipple. But with time, it got easier as she showed patience and belief in her body.
Further in the clip, Jankee said that her breastfeeding journey was all about sacrifice and dedication. She mentioned that gradually, her condition improved. Nakuul’s loving wife was able to stock her freezer with packets of breast milk which she probably pumped out for her baby during busy schedules.
Towards the end of the video, Jankee told that she would breast feed all the time- be it on flights or in between shoots. The process created an unbreakable bond between the mother and son. She encouraged all would-be mommies to breastfeed their newborns.
For the unknown, Nakuul Mehta and Jankee Parekh tied the knot on January 28, 2012. The couple was blessed with first child on February 3, 2021.
