Maharani is an upcoming 2021 Indian Hindi language drama series created by Subhash Kapoor. The series is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Naren Kunar and Dimple Kharbanda.

The series stars Huma Qureshi as the Protagonist along with Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Rani kusruti, Inaamulhaq, and Pankaj Jha. The series is inspired by what happened in Bihar in the 1990s. The teaser of the web series was released on 9 April 2021, while the trailer was released on 9 May 2021. Maharani will stream on SonyLiv from 28 May 2021 with ten episodes.

“Actress Huma Qureshi is playing the protagonist role as Rani Bharti in the upcoming web series.” Moving from Delhi to Mumbai to be an actress was an experience that in some way helped her understand Rani.

Huma plays the role of an ordinary woman from Bihar and her husband gets attacked after which he becomes bedridden and he decides that his wife who rises from the duty of the household of the kitchen and ultimately becomes a Chief Minister of the state, Bihar. Rani Bharti has never stepped outside her village and playing this time was a big challenge for her. 

After becoming a Chief Minister of the state she is being criticized about the lack of education and the lack of knowledge she has about things as being Chief Minister of a state is not even a cup of tea. 

Her acting is the highlight of the overall series and this is going to be the more highlighting thing which will help to create more interest in the series. ‘Maharani’ Indian drama Hindi series remains a moment when Lalu Prasad Yadav made his homemaker wife Rabri Devi his successor.
