Famous actress, singer and producer from Malayalam film industry Mamta Mohandas has recently made a shocking disclosure. She shared a selfie on her social media account and revealed that she is battling another serious disease after winning over cancer some time ago.

Mohandas gave information about suffering from a rare autoimmune disease called vitiligo. She revealed that due to this illness, her color is going away.

Taking to her IG handle, Mohandas dropped a photo of herself. She is seen wearing a black t-shirt while sitting outside in sun. The actress is smiling at the camera. Alongside this pretty click, Mamta wrote, ‘Dear Sun, I hug you like never before. There are spots, I am losing color…. Every morning I get up before you, to get a glimpse of your first ray emerging from the mist. Give everything that you have. I will be grateful to you forever.’ She also used hashtags like color, autoimmune disease, vitiligo and sunlight.

Ever since the actress told about her disorder, the fans are calling her a fighter. They are giving her courage to fight this disease. One wrote, ‘You are really a very powerful woman, keep influencing us all like this’. Another penned, ‘You are a fighter and will get well soon.’ A third one stated, ‘Because of you millions of women will get inspiration.’

Mamta’s battle with cancer

Mamta has battled Hodgkin lymphoma since 2010. In April 2013, her cancer relapsed. She got it treated for the same in America. During an interview in 2014, Mamta had said, ‘I cannot say that I am as strong now as I was when I had this disease for the first time. I was the person who didn’t worry about anything, but after that I got scared.’
