Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu on Wednesday (December 15) returned to Mumbai. She was welcomed by the people at the airport. The 70th Miss Universe made the countrymen proud after her historic win.

She was greeted at the international airport with numerous fans chanting “Chak De Phatte” as they held up Indian flags and posters of Harnaaz. The 21-year-old waved at the paparazzi as she returned from Israel after winning the crown of Miss Universe 2021. The Punjabi actress was seen in shimmery outfit at the airport.

As soon as Hanaaz came out in public she was presented with several flower bouquets, while people clicked beautiful pictures of her. She posed for the cameras and even waved the national flag before leaving the airport. Before this, the last Indian to win this title was Lara Dutta who brought home the crown in the year 2000.

Harnaaz Sandhu flashed her million dollar smile while posing for the camera. She was escorted by security as several fans gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of the new Miss Universe. She is the third winner of the title from India, after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta who won the prestigious spot in 1994 and 2000 respectively.

Harnaaz, a student of Chandigarh’s Post Graduate Government College, won LIVA Miss Diva Universe in October 2021. Several glitter town celebs including Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra had congratulated Sandhu after she won Miss Universe 2021. The present age of Harnaaz Sandhu is 21 years. She will also star in Punjabi films like ‘Yaara Diyan Poo Baran’ and ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’.
