Olivia Munn recently disclosed her battle with breast cancer, announcing her decision to undergo a double mastectomy. Expressing gratitude towards her medical team, she encouraged her followers to assess their own risk factors for the disease.

“I feel fortunate. We caught it early enough that I had choices. I wish the same for every woman who may confront this challenge one day,” shared the 43-year-old actress on Instagram, along with images and a video documenting her hospital treatment. Olivia disclosed that she underwent a genetic test in February 2023, screening for 90 cancer-related genes, all of which returned negative. Despite this result, her physician opted to assess her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score, a decision Olivia credits with saving her life.

After discovering an aggressive form of breast cancer following imaging tests and a subsequent biopsy, Olivia Munn promptly underwent a double mastectomy within 30 days. Over the course of the next 10 months, she endured four surgeries to address her condition. Initially choosing to keep her diagnosis private, Olivia felt the need to process her emotions and navigate the challenges before sharing her journey with the public.
