John Abraham’s film Attack has been a complete failure at the box office. The film, which was released on April 1 between RRR and The Kashmir Files, had a net collection of about 11 crores in the opening weekend. However, after that, the film failed to maintain its momentum. Now John Abraham has issued a statement regarding the film, in which he said that he is proud of this film.
In a statement shared on social media, John said- Many thanks to the audience for accepting something new and different, whatever accolades we have received for this film. Attack was an honest experiment from our side to give something new to the industry. It was challenging to traverse the three waves of the pandemic but we did what we wanted and I am absolutely proud of this film. Thanks to every member of the attack team who put in their hard work.
The film is produced by Jayantilal Gada, Ajay Kapoor and Bhowmik Gondalia on the story of John Abraham. Directed by Lakshya Raj Anand. In the film, John plays a super soldier whose abilities have been enhanced with the help of artificial intelligence. This super soldier helps to protect the country from terrorists. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah in lead roles.
Attack is planned to be developed as a franchise, the first part of which has been released.
