Singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 12’ winner Pawandeep Rajan and first runner up Arunita Kanjilal seem to be in legal trouble. It is reported that Arunita and Pawandeep refused to shoot the music album with Octopus Entertainment Company, after which Company has taken the court’s support.

According to a TOI report, the legal notice received by Pawandeep and Arunita states that the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association was contacted by Octopus Entertainment Pvt Ltd, in which they informed that Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt Ltd had acquired Pawandeep and Arunita. An agreement was made with him to provide Arunita’s services.

The Octopus Company says they signed the Indian Idol 21 winner for 20 romantic songs. As per Octopus Entertainment’s agreement with Sony Pictures for Pawandeep and Arunita, Sony has agreed to provide the services of both actors. But this commitment was given before becoming the winner of Indian Idol. The company had announced the launch of the album at a press conference after spending a lot of money, but it is now said that the artists did not collaborate with the producer after shooting a song.

According to the report, first Arunita and then Pawandeep stopped collaborating with the producers in the shooting despite Sony’s commitment and then refused the release and promotion of the song. Even when Sony was informed, they did not take any action but supported the cast. At the same time, when IMPPA asked Sony for their reply, they refused to do so saying that this particular Sony company is not a member of IMPPA.
