The famous reality shows Shark Tank India is coming back with its second season after the tremendous response to its first installment. It hooked the entire nation to their TV screens with its unique concept of various entrepreneurs pitching their creative business ideas. As the show is gearing up for its sequel, one of the sharks aka judges on the show, Peyush Bansal got into an exclusive chat with a leading daily.
During his interaction, Bansal revealed about being reluctant to return as a judge on the show for its second season. He said that extreme ‘fan following’ led him to have second thoughts about taking up the show.
Revealing why he did not want to comeback on Shark Tank India 2, Peyush said that the only reason that he wasn’t keen on coming back was there’s too much fan following. He stated that he truly believes in ‘all glory is fleeting’ and didn’t want a life like this. Instead he wanted a normal life, for himself and his son, who is just 2.5 years old.
Asked about what made him say a yes then, the entrepreneur asserted that the spark that he see in the eyes of people made him finally relent.
The founder of Lenskart further talked about whether the show boosted his company’s sales or not. He mentioned that not sales, but traffic definitely saw a spike. He quoted that for sales, product and service plays a crucial part. However, there was a strong curiosity, which led to a positive outcome.
Shark Tank India 2 is going on air from January 2, 2023. The judging panel will miss Ashneer Grover this time. Besides Peyush Bansal, it will have Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal and Amit Jain.
